The Odoo Community edition covers the management core : Sales & Customer relations, Purchasing & Procurement, Stock & Logistics (excluding barcodes), Manufacturing & Shop floor (excluding quality), Website & Marketing, basic HR, Projects, and Invoicing, but not full accounting.
The Odoo Enterprise edition adds what brings our domains to value : Accounting & Finance (reconciliation, tax reports), Field service & Equipment (Field Service, Planning, Helpdesk), Business documents (Documents, Sign, Knowledge, Approvals), grid Timesheets, Subscriptions, Quality and Barcodes.
Our advice: when in doubt, start with the Odoo Community edition, and move up in one click to the Enterprise edition when you really need it (the other way round will be more complicated).
